A wreck that recently occurred in Port Fourchon, Louisiana moderately injured 9 people and critically injured 2 more was caused by a drunk driver, police report. The accident has been closed for investigations, and the impaired drunk driver has been cited for the wreck and injuries sustained.
Joshua Holbert was drinking alcohol and driving recklessly on La.1 near La.3090 in his 2003 Dodge pick up truck when the accident happened. It began when Holbert tried to pass another vehicle at an extremely high rate of speed, he ended up glancing a 1995 Ford Taurus driven by Elisabeth Bergeron before making a head on collision with a 1985 Chrysler Fifth avenue driven by Brian Zeno.
The reporting State Police spokesman, Bryan Zeringue has said that Joshua Holbert was immediately apprehended and booked for nine counts of vehicular negligent injury, two counts of first-degree vehicular negligent injury, DWI, and driving left of center. Holbert is still awaiting a judge to set his bond.
