Texting Driver injures three in Luling, Louisiana

Three teenagers were critically injured this week in Luling, Louisiana when a woman allegedly lost control of her car while trying to text and drive. Reporting police have said that the wreck took place near Hahnville High School, and that the investigations into this accident are closed. Citations for this accident have been given out, and it is unknown if all parties involved have legal representation.

St.Charles Parish Sherriffs have said that the accident happened when Stephanie L. Clay of Luling, Louisiana was driving down the road and started trying to text. Three teenagers, identified as Joseph Kirch, Treval Dunmiles, and Joseph Rafiel were sitting and standing of the curb near their high school. Clay lost control of her car while she was trying to text, and ended up making impact with the three teens.

All teens were rushed to the hospital with injuries considered serious, and as it reported they are all still in the hospital. Clay was charged with several citations, including texting while driving, and three counts of negligent injury. The case has been closed for investigations, and dates have been set. It is unknown any of the specified dates, or if anyone involved plans to take further legal action.
