Teen killed in Natichoches Parish

This week in Natichoches parish Louisiana, one boy was killed and another teen was critically injured in a car accident on La. Highway 348. Reporting police have said that the accident was a single car accident with several causes going into it. Speed is thought to be a factor in this accident.

A 13 year old was driving a 2001 Pontiac grand am down Billy Stilles, La. Highway 348, driving with excessive speed and recklessness when he lost control of the car and went off the road towards the left side. Then, he over corrected across the center line and over into the right of the lane. There, the 13 year old driver ran into a tree.

The driver and passenger were not wearing their seatbelts. When police found the wreckage, the driver was found to be in serious condition but alive. His passenger, 14 year old Colton T. Gourdon was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the coroner's office. Excessive speed is suspected to be the fatal factor in this accident.
