In St.Landry parish, Louisiana this week an accident occurred that claimed the life of one Gonzales, Louisiana native and moderately injured another. The single car accident occurred on a local Louisiana highway late at night. The cause of the accident is unknown, and it is unknown if the use of alcohol or other illicit mind-altering substances were a factor in this accident. This wreck is still under investigation by Louisiana State Troopers and no citations have been made.

It happened when 21 year-old Tabitha Gaudin of Gonzales, Louisiana did not navigate a turn properly for unknown reasons. Her car went spinning clockwise down local Louisiana highway 103 southbound before traveling off the right side of the road. Then Gaudin's car entered a ditch, hit a concrete culvert on the side of the roadway, and finally overturned. The car then came to rest on it's roof, which is how it was found by responding emergency officials.

The St.Landry parish coroner's office pronounced Tabitha Gaudin of Gonzales, Louisiana dead at the scene of the accident. She was unrestrained, and had been partially ejected from the vehicle. Gaudin's passenger in the car, 31 year-old Cheyenne Rennee of Glyn, Louisiana suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Our Lady of the Lourdes hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana. It is unknown if Rennee was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The accident is still under investigation by State Troopers, and no citations have been made in response to this accident.
