Slidell, Louisiana accident kills One

An accident that took place in Slidell, Louisiana this month claimed the life of one Mississippi native state police report. The single car accident happened on the Interstate 12, and the time accident was not listed. The wreck is still under investigation by authorities, and although alcohol abuse is not suspected in the accident, toxicology reports are pending from the Louisiana state police lab.

The incident took place when Daniel B. Walley of Flora, Mississippi was driving east on the interstate 12 towards Slidell, Louisiana in his 1995 Chevrolet s-10 pick-up truck when for unknown reasons he lost control of his vehicle. The truck swerved across all eastbound lanes before running off on the northern side of the interstate. It was said that the truck then spun around in a counter clockwise direction before hitting a large tree on the driver's side of his car.

Emergency personnel responded to the accident, where they found Walley inside the car. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, and once they had removed him he was taken to Ochsner Northshore Medical Center. At the hospital, he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident. Even though alcohol is not a suspected factor in this wreck, routine toxicology tests are pending per Louisiana state law.
