This month in Shreveport, Louisiana an accident seriously injured at least one person. Sources say that the wreck took several hours to clean off the interstate, and that responding emergency person ell cleaning up the accident have stated that the contents of the eighteen wheeler spilled out onto the roadway after falling over. It is unknown if the use of alcohol or other illicit substances was a factor in this accident, or if routine toxicology tests are pending. The accident is still under investigation, and no citations have been made.

The details of this wreck are not completely evident, but it is known that the wreck occurred on Interstate 220 during a time of heavy traffic flow. For reasons that are currently unknown, a car traveling behind a large 18 wheeler that was holding a full load of cargo, rear ended the truck and it's load. The impact caused the 18 wheeler's load to be spilled out onto the westbound lanes of the Louisiana interstate, stopping traffic and immediately causing a large back up.

Reports from the scene of the wreck have stated that the driver of the 18 wheeler had to be taken to the hospital. His injuries were listed at the time as critical and serious. The injury status of the other car's driver is currently unknown. The police responding to the accident requested patience from the public, and traffic had to be diverted off the interstate via the exit just before the scene of the accident.
