Sabine, Louisiana car wreck kills one injures another

Posted on Oct 29, 2010

A wreck in Sabine parish, Louisiana this week took the life of one man and seriously injured another, sources say. The late night accident occurred on a local Louisiana highway near one of the bridges in the area. The accident is still under investigation by the local state trooper's squad, and routine toxicology reports as pending under Louisiana state law for the accident have been sent to the lab. Driving under the influence is a suspected factor in this accident.

The accident happened on La.1215 near the Aimwell bridge around 2:30am sources say. Responding emergency personnel got a call about a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck that had ended up colliding with a guard rail on the bridge. The driver of the vehicle, Matthew T. Rivers had lost control of the vehicle and exited the right side of the roadway. There he had made impact with the guardrail, coming to a rest at the collision point. He had one passenger with him in the car.

Matthew T. Rivers was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Sabine parish, Louisiana coroner's office. The passenger inside the vehicle, 25 year-old Adam W. Ezernack sustained moderate injuries from the accident, and was immediately transported to the Sabine Parish Medical Center for treatment. Neither of the young men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the wreck, and the use of alcohol is a suspected factor in this accident. The wreck is still under investigation by the Louisiana state trooper's department, and no citations have been made. When you loose a loved one in a serious car accident that was not their fault, there are obviously things that take first priority. The funeral arrangements, the last minute medical bills that may arise, and other things following an untimely death of a family member understandably are the first thing on a person's mind. However, funerals are not inexpensive and a last minute hospital stay can be very costly, and if the person supported your family there might be even more loss to accommodate for. If your loved one was killed in a car accident that was not their fault, you might be entitled to get compensation after an accident. Compensation can help cover the funeral bill, the medical bill, and the loss of support while your family tries to get back on their feet. Getting compensation, however, can be difficult because insurance companies want to pay you the smallest amount of money possible. Some people don't even have insurance. That is why many people choose to hire legal representation after a car accident. Louisiana car accident lawyer Tim Young is an experienced, compassionate lawyer who will fight to get his clients the compensation they deserve after an accident. So, if you or a loved one has been involved in a serious Louisiana car accident that was not your fault, please call (866) 660-7220 for a free and confidential consultation from his experienced law offices today.
