A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit on interstate 10 in Lafayette, Louisiana this week. Apparently the accident took place near the University Ave exit, and reporting police say that there have been no citations yet for the wreck, and that it is still under investigation by local and state police.
The incident happened just before eleven o'clock at night in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near the University avenue off ramp. A pedestrian named Alfred Francis, for currently unknown reasons walked out onto the interstate and into the line of an exiting vechile. According to Laffayyette police, the toxicology status of pedestrian and driver is unknown for the accident and tests are still being run.
Alfred Francis was taken to a local hospital for sustainment of critical injuries, though the extent of his wounds are unknown. No other injuries were reported for this accident, including that of the driver who was not been named.
