An accident in Olla, Louisiana this weekend near the LaSalle parish line claimed the life of one man and seriously injured another. Louisiana state police who responded to the accident have released that alcohol abuse was not a suspected factor in this crash, and both men involved were wearing seatbelts during the wreck between their two cars.

26 year old Caleb Tucker of Olla, Louisiana was driving on local Louisiana highway 126 heading eastbound, when, for unknown reasons he lost control of his truck. His truck then swerved into the westbound lane of the highway. There, Tucker's truck made a collision with 53 year old Clark Franklin of Grayson, Louisiana. The two vehicles made direct impact with one another, State Police say, and came to rest there.

Caleb Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Louisiana coroner's office, and Clark Franklin was airlifted with life threatening injuries to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Reporting State police have released a statement that they don't think alcohol was a suspect in this accident, but routine toxicology tests are pending in conjunction with Louisiana law. Both men involved in this accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the investigation into this accident is ongoing.
