A two vehicle wreck in Monroe, Louisiana this month has injured two people. Sources investigating the wreck have not said if they the early evening accident to be caused by someone driving under the influence of alcohol or another substance, and the investigations into this wreck continue.
Ronald Baird was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle down local Louisiana highway 3033 when the wreck occurred. Baird was traveling northbound down the roadway when for reasons that are still being investigated, Baird started to brake hard and skidded into the opposite lane in front of oncoming traffic. There, he collided with a Chevrolet truck being driven by Christopher Robinson, and both vehicles left the roadway.
Louisiana state troopers arrived at the scene of the accident around 6:50pm. Upon their arrival, it was determined that Christopher Robinson had only sustained minor injuries, and was treated at the scene. Ronald Baird, however, received moderate to serious injuries from the accident. Louisiana state troopers cited Baird for driving left of center and having no motorcycle license.
