A serious car wreck in Metarie, Louisiana this month has claimed the life of one Kenner, Louisiana native. Sources investigating the accident have stated that they are not sure of the cause. The late night Louisiana car accident happened on Interstate 10 in Metarie Louisiana by the Veterens Memorial Boulevard exit. 24 year-old Cory Mouret was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo westbound down the interstate when the wreck occurred. For reasons that are currently unknown, Mouret lost control of her vehicle and went slamming into the concrete barriers of the interstate.
Investigating officers said she was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. When emergency officials arrived to the scene, she was immediately transported to the LSU Interim Hospital. Later that evening, she passed from injuries sustained in the accident. The wreck is still under investigation, and no citations have currently been made.
