LSU star athlete seriously injured in a car accident in New Orleans

Chad Jones, two-sport star at LSU last year, was driving his new Range Rover on North Carrollton Ave. in New Orleans. He lost control of the vehicle and hit a street car pole early in the morning.

Jones had to be cut out of the car and this took some time. Two others in the truck were not as seriously injured.
Reports are that Jones suffered a fractured leg with nerves and arteries exposed. He was in surgery most of the day.

Jones was later transferred to New York City for further medical attention by the New York Giants who drafted Jones last April.

LSU Head Football Coach Les Miles posted the following to his twitter account this morning: "Just got news about Chad Jones' car accident. We are praying for Chad and his family. Keep him in your prayers."
