A serious car wreck in Kinder, Louisiana this month has claimed the lives of three people, and injured several others. The accident happened on a local Louisiana highway late at night. State troopers responding to the wreck believe impairment and speeding to be the causes of the wreck.
The accident began when a 1999 Toyota avalon was traveling down local Louisiana highway 165 at an extremely high rate of speed. The vehicle was occupied by Michael Cade Martin and Freddy Bohler, who both claim the other person was driving. The avalon ran straight into the back end of a 1996 Dodge pick-up truck with four passengers in it. The impact caused the pick-up truck to exit the roadway, roll over, and finally strike a tree.
When state troopers arrived at the scene of the wreck, they found three of the four occupants in the pick-up truck dead from injuries sustained in the accident. One other passenger was found to be alive, and transported immediately to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Both men in the avalon only sustained minor injuries, and were believed to be impaired at the time of the wreck. The investigation into this accident is ongoing, and citations will be made.
