This month in Kenner, Louisiana a serious car wreck critically injured two men. Investigators who responded to the wreck have stated that they believe speed to be a factor in this accident, but are also going to run toxicology tests to be sure there weren't any other factors that contributed to this accident. The wreck happened within the city limits of Kenner, Louisiana sources say around 7 o'clock in the morning. A Honda Civic with two young male occupants was driving down West Bainbridge near the intersection of that street and Athens street when the wreck occurred. Apparently they were driving at an extremely high rate of speed, and lost control of the vehicle. It went colliding directly with a power pole on the side of the road.

The force of impact knocked out the power pole, and over 500 people lost power. When emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the wreck, the two men were found to be in critical condition. They were transported to the LSU Interim Public Hospital, where one man underwent emergency surgery and was then put on life support. At this time, the investigation into this wreck continues and routine toxicology reports will be run. No charges have been made at this time, but might be pending on the results of the toxicology results.
