This month in Gueydan, Louisiana a serious car accident claimed the life of one man. Louisiana state troopers who arrived at the wreck did not release if they believe the wreck was caused by alcohol or another substance. 43-year-old Troy Trahan of Estherwood, Louisiana was driving his motorcycle down Louisiana highway 91 just slightly north of Gueydan, Louisiana. The wreck happened between midnight and daybreak, when Trahan was unable to make it through a sharp left hand curve. He exited the roadway, hit the warning sign, fell through a ditch, and eventually landed against a private drive way embankment.

When Louisiana state troopers arrived at the scene of the wreck, Trahan had already passed. His vehicle and body were found off the roadway where it would have been difficult for anyone to see from the highway. At this time, the investigation into this wreck are ongoing, and no citations or statements have been released from the Louisiana state trooper's department.
