A serious car wreck that occurred Thanksgiving weekend has claimed the life of one woman, while another involved in the wreck received minor injuries. The wreck happened near Pontchaoula, Louisiana when a driver failed to yield at a stop sign. Investigating Louisiana state troopers have released that toxicology reports were taken of both drivers involved in the accident, but the use of substances is not expected. As of right now the investigation into this accident continues, and while charges have been made, more might be pending.

Leanne Keen of Pontchaoula, Louisiana was driving down a local Louisiana street in Pontchatoula, Louisiana when the wreck occurred. Apparently Keen approached an intersection with a stop sign. For reasons that are still being discovered, Keen failed to stop at the sign and ran right through. When she did, her 2005 Mercury Marquis smashed into a 2004 scion being driven by 43 year-old Kimberly Hadden of Hammond, Louisiana. This caused Hadden's vehicle to pushed into a ditch, where it flipped, and came to rest.

18 year-old Leanne Keen was wearing a seatbelt at the time of wreck, and was treated on scene for minor injuries before being arrested. 43 year-old Kimberly Hadden was not restrained by a seatbelt at the time of wreck, and was killed when her vehicle flipped into the ditch. The investigations into this wreck continue as police have sent toxicology reports to the lab, but Keen was charged and arrested with negligent homicide at the scene of the wreck.
