C-Section required after serious Louisiana accident

Posted on Aug 30, 2010

This month, a disturbing accident occurred in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area. A pregnant woman forced to have a c-section of her child because of the damage incurred in the accident. State Police report that the baby is listed in critical condition after the accident, and that investigations are ongoing.

The names of those involved in this accident were not released, but sources say that the accident occurred when the car the pregnant woman was a passenger in rear ended an 18 wheeler on the interstate. Pictures from the scene show that the force of impact on the vehicle made it stick to the back of the big rig.

Police say that the woman was rushed to a local hospital, where it was determined that she was going to have to have a C-section in order to save her five month fetus and herself. Doctors completed the procedure, and the woman was listed in stable condition, while the baby has been listed in critical care. Two other people were injured in the crash, but no other information about the accident has been reported.
