A tragic accident happened recently in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The fatal accident involved a new LSU freshmen from Alabama, her mother, and another Baton Rouge resident. Police report that the investigations on this accident are closed, and no one was cited for the accident.
Elizabeth Thompson was in town for freshmen orientation at LSU, apparently, and was just pulling out of a driveway in her Nissan versa near the 2300 block of the South Acadian Thruway close to Bawell street, when a large Ford F-150 traveling hit her dead-on via the driver's side.
The police that arrived at the scene of the accident say that Thompson was immediately rushed to a medical center with critical injuries, and that her mother was also sent to the medical center with moderate injuries. The driver of the Ford F-150 was treated on the scene for minor injuries. It was reported later that Thompson passed away late the next night from injuries sustained in the accident.
