Charges settled for Louisiana man in fatal wreck

Charges have finally been settled on an accident that occurred earlier this year for a 45 year old Ville Platte, Louisiana man who was involved in an accident that killed two other people. This week the man was booked into prison for the charges after an ongoing investigation was acted upon.

Apparently Roy Serie was intoxicated on the night he was driving his pick up on the interstate. The accident occurred when Serie lost control of the car, crossed the median, and struck another car traveling in the opposite direction. Everyone involved sustained injuries from the accident.

Two people were killed in this wreck, Serie's passenger Sheila Serie and a passenger in the other car both died from injuries sustained in the accident. Other people were also injured in the accident, state police reported. Serie has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, one count of driving while intoxicated and one count of vehicular negligent injuring. It is unknown what the next steps in this process are going to be.
