Two people were killed in a crash near Bossier, Louisiana this month. The fatal accident occurred near midnight on one of the local highways. State police report the accident to only have involved one vehicle that was carrying two people. Identities have not been released for the accident, and it is still open for investigation.
The wreck happened on Old Plain Dealing road in Bossier parish, at the road's intersection with LA 60. The car involved was an SUV of unknown make and model, which was carrying two people. Apparently, for unknown reasons, the car went off the road at the intersection. It collided with a large tree before bursting into flames on the side of the road.
State Police got to the scene, and soon reported with the coroner's office that the two passengers were dead. It is unknown if intoxication is thought to be a factor in this accident, but police say that speed was definitely a cause in this accident. The investigation on this accident is ongoing, and routine toxicology tests are being run as required by Louisiana law in all fatal accidents.
