A serious car wreck in Pierre Part, Louisiana has left one dead and another critically injured says State Police. The accident occurred on La.70 in Assumption parish. The two victims in the accident were both male, and the investigation continues as Police attempt to find the cause of incident.

Jeremy Domangue of Pierre Part was driving his 1989 pick-up truck eastbound on the two lane highway when he hit a sharp curb unexpectedly, and drifted over the centerline. Westbound Daman Crochet, also of Pierre Part was traveling in his 1999 camry when Domangue hit him directly.

Police say the wreck happened just 3 miles before La.70's intersection with La.69. Domangue was pronounced dead on the scene by the local coroner's office, and Crochet was rushed to a hospital in Baton Rouge for critical injuries. It has been reported that neither of the men were wearing their seatbelts, and that alcohol/substance abuse is not a suspected contributor to this accident.
