Two men are dead after a serious accident occurred in Mansfield, Louisiana this week. The late night accident happened just west of Manfield on a local highway, state troopers report, and involved two vehicles. The investigations into this accident are not closed, and no citations have been made as of yet.
21 year old Alejandro Ladrillera of Mansfield, Louisiana was driving himself and a friend 23 year old Jesus Alvarez down US 84 in his dodge truck when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the centerline of the highway and entered into the eastbound lane of traffic. There he made head on impact with a truck carrying an empty salt tank. The dodge, for unknown reasons, then burst into flames with the two men trapped inside the car.
State Troopers and the coroner's office report that the two men were announced dead at the scene of the accident, having been burned to death. The driver of the truck was reported as uninjured. Alcohol and intoxication are said to be highly suspected on the part of Ladrillera and Alavarez, and there is an ongoing investigation into this accident.
