A serious car wreck that took place this month has claimed the life of one woman and moderately injured another. The wreck happened near Abbeville, Louisiana on a local Louisiana state highway. It involved two vehicles, and happened late during the evening. 47 year-old Dallas Fabre of Youngville, Louisiana was driving a vehicle down local Savoy road when the accident took place. Fabre was coming to an intersection between highway 339 and Savoy Road. Fabre failed to stop at a stop sign, and began turning onto Louisiana highway 339 when a vehicle driven by Joseph Tinker of Abbeville, Louisiana was traveling through. Fabre's car struck the Tinker's vehicle with the front end on the drivers side. This caused the Tinker's vehicle to roll, while Fabre's car came to rest in a nearby ditch.
There were two passengers in the Tinker's vehicle. Joseph Tinker was taken to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. It is unknown if he was restrained at the time of wreck by a seatbelt. His passenger, Bobbie Tinker was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Dallas Fabre was uninjured in the wreck, and it is also unknown if they were driving without a seatbelt on at the time of the wreck. Investigations into this wreck continue as police await lab results, and it is unknown if citations have been made at this time.
