A serious eighteen wheeler accident in St.John the Baptist parish, Louisiana this month has not only put one person in critical condition, but caused toxic chemicals to spill out of the truck and into the roadway. The investigations into this accident are ongoing, and at the moment no citations have been made. However, toxicology tests have been run on the driver and the investigation into this wreck continue.
The driver of the eighteen wheeler was traveling down local Louisiana highway 3217 in a rural part of St.John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana when the accident occurred. The driver lost control of his vehicle that contained hazardous chemical materials, and over turned. The vehicle's contents spilled out all over the roadway and surrounding area, but did not eject the driver. At this time it is unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck, or not.

At this time, the driver is in critical condition at a local hospital. Routine toxicology tests have been run on the driver, but the results are still pending. A serious car wreck in Bush, Louisiana this month has claimed the life of one Slidell native. Sources investigating the wreck have not stated if they believe the wreck was caused by an illicit substance or alcohol. Investigations into this wreck are also ongoing, and nothing has been certified yet.
27 year-old Christina Maddalozza of Slidell, Louisiana was driving her vehicle down Louisiana highway 41 approaching the intersection with Louisiana highway 40 when the accident occurred. It was just after 6am when Maddalozza approached the intersection at an extremely high rate of speed. This caused her to rear end an empty 18 wheeler as it was turning across the intersection.

The driver of the 18 wheeler was 45 year-old Jana Sanasac who passed an onsite alcohol test. She was not injured in this accident. 27 year-old Christina Maddalozza lost her life in this wreck from injuries she sustained. At this time it is unknown if she was properly restrained and wearing her seatbelt. Fatal Car Wreck in Desoto Parish Louisiana

An early morning accident this month in Desoto parish, Louisiana has claimed the life of one woman. Investigators who responded to the wreck have not released if they believe the use of substances to be a factor in this accident, and citations have not been released. The wreck is still under investigation, sources say, and has not closed.
The wreck began around 4:19am in Desoto parish on local Louisiana highway 85, just west of LA 481. A 2004 Ford truck was traveling down the highway westbound with the accident occurred. Apparently the driver lost control of her vehicle, and crossed over the centerline of the highway. When the driver crossed over the line, they entered the path of a 2011 Mack truck traveling eastbound down the highway. Upon seeing the vehicle, the driver of the truck tried to take evasive maneuvers to avoid the collision, but was unsuccessful.

Both vehicles exited the roadway upon collision and entered a grassy ditch area. The driver of the Mack truck was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the wreck and was not injured. The driver of the Ford pick-up truck was a 30 year-old woman who was a San Antonio, Texas native. Her name has not been released as they are contacting the family. Satsuma, Louisiana wreck kills One

This month in Satsuma, Louisiana a one vehicle accident has claimed the life of one person. Sources investigating the accident have released what they believe caused this wreck, but there is an ongoing investigation being held. No citations were made in this wreck, but might be pending.
The car wreck happened just west of the Satsuma Interchange on Interstate 12 on Black Mud Drive. It is unknown what time of day the accident occurred, but 22 year-old Gonzales Louisiana native Kristen Glatt was driving her vehicle down the roadway. For reasons that are currently unknown, Glatt lost control of her vehicle and exited the roadway. There the vehicle made impact with a tree and came to rest.

Car wreck in Cut Off, Louisiana kills one and injures other

A serious car wreck in Cut Off, Louisiana earlier this month has claimed the life of one Galliano, Louisiana woman and critically injured a teenage girl. The accident involved one SUV and an eighteen wheeler, sources say, and happened during the evening. All involved were tested for the use of substances after the wreck, but none were involved in this accident.
The evening wreck occurred when 39 year-old Karen Ledet was driving her SUV down local Louisiana highway 3161, and came to an intersection with Louisiana highway 3235. Ledet was trying to make a left turn onto the other highway, but failed to yield to an eighteen wheeler driven by Ronald Provost coming northbound down the highway. The trailer truck made direct impact with Ledet's vehicle.

A 15 year-old girl sitting in the front seat of Ledet's vehicle received critical injuries from the crash. Ledet herself did not survive the wreck, and died from injuries sustained in the accident. Ronald Provost did not receive any injuries from this accident. At this time, no citations have been made for the wreck. State Troopers have stated that they are still investigating this accident, and that citations might come in the future. Baton Rouge, Louisiana car wreck kills one

This month in Baton Rouge, Louisiana a fatal car accident took the life of one person and injured another. The wreck happened within the city limits on Highland Road. The two vehicles involved were a freightliner box truck, and a normal sized sedan. Police have stated that there were only two people involved in this wreck. 69 year-old Bonnie Desilva of Baton Rouge, Louisiana was driving her vehicle down Highland Road around eight o'clock at night. The accident occured when Bonnie lost control of her Ford Expedition and made impact with a freightliner truck coming in the oppisite direction. The 18 wheeler was driven by 48 year-old Henry Simpson of Lafayette, Louisiana.

Bonnie Desilva was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collison. When emergency personell arrived, she was rushed to a hospital. Desilva passed on later that night from injuries sustained during the wreck. Henry Simpson was properly restrained by a seatbelt at the time of the wreck, and did not recieve life threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital via ambulance, and his current medical condition is unknown. This crash remains under investigation by the Baton Rouge police. At this time, no one has been cited. Police are waiting on the blood results to make a final decision in this accident.

Bossier parish, Louisiana car accident injures five

An interstate accident this month in Bossier parish, Louisiana sent five people to the hospital with moderate injuries. Investigating state troopers have released that the wreck happened early in the evening, and involved three vehicles. They have also released that driving under the influence, and impairment do not seem to be factors in this crash. Wille H. Gammage of Atlanta, Georgia was operating a 2011 frieghtliner truck when the wreck occured. For reasons that are unknown, Gammage was stopped on the shoulder of the interstate near milepost 34. When Gammage made the attempt of merging back into traffic with his truck, he made impact with a 2003 GMC Envoy that had five people in it. The impact from the freightliner caused the envoy to spin out of the lane, and collide with a Honda civic that was carrying only one passenger.

Gammage was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and was not injured. The driver and front passenger of the GMC Envoy were restrained at the time of the wreck, and recieved minor injuries. The two people in the back of the envoy had to be airlifted from the scene and sent to LSU Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Port Barre, Louisiana truck wreck critically injures 3 kids

A wreck this week in Port Barre, Louisiana critically injured three young children, while 21 others recieved minor injuries. Sources investigating the wreck have said it involved one school bus and a big rig eighteen wheeler. The collision happened on a local Louisiana highway in the early morning hours when the children were being picked up from school. Gilfred Savoy Jr. was driving the 1990 school bus, and was en route to the school to drop off 21 kids when the wreck occurred. He was traveling on highway 90 in between Port Barre, Louisiana and Opelousas. Savoy had 21 children on board the bus and was picking up another child when the eighteen wheeler came up from behind. Apparently the school bus had all warning lights activated, but the driver of the big rig did not see them. David Cox's truck went colliding into the back of the bus in an area with a posted speed limit of 65 miles per hour.

Three children on the bus were critically injured, and had to be taken from the scene via helicopter. 18 other children, and Savoy received moderate to minor injuries from the accident. 18 wheeler and bicyclist collide in Lafayette, Louisiana

An accident involving a bicyclist and an eighteen wheeler has claimed the life of one man, sources say. The wreck happened around 8 o'clock at night in Lafayette, Louisiana earlier this month. Investigations into the accident are continuing, and as of right now no citations have been made. The driver of the eighteen wheeler was traveling in the right hand lane of NE Evangeline thruway when the accident occurred. Apparently the bicycle simply rolled into the right lane of the thruway, striking the eighteen wheeler's trailer pull. The man driving the bicycle, later identified as 48 year-old Carl James Lindon, was ejected from the bicycle and thrown onto the thruway. The operator of the eighteen wheeler reported the accident.

When emergency personnel got to the scene of the wreck, Lindon was still alive but in critical condition. He was rushed to a local medical center for his injuries, where he remained until the following Monday. He passed on as a result of the injuries he sustained in this wreck. North Caddo Parish, Louisiana wreck injures one

An accident involving an eighteen wheeler happened this week near Shreveport, Louisiana is Caddo parish sources say. The wreck occurred just after midnight on a local Louisiana highway just outside of the city, and seriously injured at least one person.
